PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR, BALL CORPORATION
A production supervisor for high speed end making plant for aluminum cans. Led and directed 20 to 25 employees which included press maintainers, machinist, electricians, quality techs, forklift drivers and packers.
Led weekly startup meeting that was primarily safety driven, but also communicated quality issues, breakdowns, and upcoming events.
Responsible for staffing all position on production floor.
Directly involved with team members to address safety concerns and improved safety work culture.
Responsible for shifts output of 10,000,000 units per shift.
Ensured product being run is in spec by using statistical process control tools.
Work with team members on SMED events during changeovers, also ensuring they are performed under standard operating procedures.
Implemented continuous improvement projects with team members and developed standards on tab feeder timing and trained employees.
Interviewed, trained and evaluated new hires.
Record production totals, spoilage totals, hold for inspection amounts and track downtime.

Responsible for maintaining high speed presses operating to produce a good quality end with a production goal of 7,500,000 units per day. This included doing:
1. quality checks
2. weekly preventive maintenance along with monthly and annual PM’s 3. Trouble shoot mechanical problems, pulled die sets for overhauls, remove tooling for out of spec conditions and changeovers.
4. Timed equipment such as tab stock feeders, drive belts, and transfer belts.
Involved in several new equipment installs and upgrades working with OEM’s and plant engineering.
Worked directly with other team members such as machinist, electricians, quality techs, forklift drives and management.
Interviewed and trained new hires
Promoted to production supervisor.
