Notified patients prior to appointments of any changes or responsibilities they may have for their appointment such as financial obligations or prior testing, as well as, pre-registered them for appointments for a quick check-in at arrival.

Registered patients in the Outpatient department for lab work, cardiopulmonary, radiology, cath lab, pre-surgical appointments, labor and delivery, and admitted patients as inpatient or observation using the EPIC system in a courteous, proficient manner while keeping a positive and neat working environment.

• Collected payments for copays and co-insurance for patient accounts using EPIC, RevSpring and Passport systems.

• Verified insurance eligibility for all patients during registration and updated all demographics accurately.

• Answered and transferred phone calls in a polite and appropriate form.

• Filed documents correctly and faxed paperwork to various departments.

• Worked independently to complete tasks and handled various situations that would arise on a daily basis.

• Scheduled, rescheduled and pre-registered patients for STAT appointments and/or necessity.

• Communicated with coworkers through email, Lync (an online chat), & phone to have and share very accurate information to ensure quick patient care and smooth patient transition to other departments and staff.
