M.E Project: D esign and Simulation Analysis o f Damper System and Interlocks in Operating Mechanism of Medium Voltage Vacuum Circuit Breaker at Schneider Electric India, Baroda Plant.
● Briefly studied the role and function of different types of medium voltage circuit breakers and their components.
● In depth study of the design and functions of the operating mechanism components of a medium voltage vacuum circuit breaker.
● Studied and saw the mechanical endurance testing of circuit breakers for opening and closing operation in the production line.
● Derived selection criteria for different parameters of the dampers available in the market.
● Used with assumptions a simple mathematical model for vibration present in the damper system during opening operation.
● Designed with support and hitting link two concepts of damper systems i.e rubber damper and hydraulic damper for the operating mechanism of MV VCB.
● Simulated the rubber damper system and the hydraulic damper for static structural, explicit dynamics and modal analysis modules in ANSYS Workbench. M.E. Seminar: E nergy Absorption and Crashworthiness of Origami Pattern Tube in Vehicles.
● Explored recent research in geometric origami patterns and their application in crash tube design.
● Developed an understanding of deformation mechanisms and collapse modes in origami pattern tubes versus conventional crash tubes.
● Summarized experimental results and effects of various parameters on origami pattern tubes from recent research work.
● Simulated static structural analysis for different cross sections i.e hexagon, pentagon and square to check for stress and deformation comparison. B.E. Project: Design and Fabrication of Centrifugal Air Blower at Ishwar Engineering Company, Andheri (W), Mumbai.
● CAD modeling of a 2HP centrifugal air blower and FE analysis of impeller and shaft.
● Static and dynamic balancing of actual impeller.
● Performance testing of parameters against theoretical values and empirical formulas.
● Understood production process of blower parts and assembly fitting. Finite Element Analysis: Mini projects on ANSYS 13
● Stress and deflection analysis of beams, plates and trusses with different end conditions and cross-sections subjected to different loading conditions.
● Contact stress analysis on simple geometries.
● Dynamic stress analysis of rotating discs.
● Modal f requency response analysis of a beam under a single-poi nt cyclic load w ith and wit hout damping.
