Currently, I’m holding the profile of Corporate Head – HR, Punjab Operations and have given the responsibility for HR, IR and Admin affairs of around 800 employees in two divisions - Commercial Vehicle (TATA) and Two Wheeler (HONDA) at 30+ locations across Punjab.

Earlier, upto Mar 2015, CMPL had employed more than 1200 employees and operating business in four Divisions – TATA Tucks, TATA Cars, FIAT Cars and HONDA Scooters &Bikes.

HR OPERATIONS & PRACTICE

Manpower planning, forecasting, budgeting and rationalization.

Recruitment - sourcing, screening and selecting.

Learning and Development – Induction and Training, training need analysis, designing and implementation of training programs, training tracker, measuring training effectiveness and career development.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Promotions: I’ve joined CMPL as Manager – HR in 2008 and has been promoted thrice within 10 years of service span, first as Senior Manager – HR (Nov ‘13), then as Assistant General Manager – HR (Apr ‘15), and currently as Deputy General Manager – HR (Oct ‘16).

Manpower Rationalism: Badly hit by recession in 2008, Cargo Motors decided to reduce its Manpower cost.25 % manpower was reduced in between Oct ’08 - Jun ’09. Again, in 2014, it was decided by the management to close down their both Passenger Car Divisions (TATA & FIAT), resulting manpower downsizing by 45% in between Oct ‘14 – Mar ’16.

At both instants, I had played crucial role for successful downsizing. And we have done it without any labour conflict.

Audit: Regular score in MIPFV above 90%.

Computerisation: Successfully, converted manual attendance to bio-metric attendance.

Training: DevelopTraining Need Analysis Form and give more focus on training while regular communication with TML’s.

Collective Bargaining: Successfullyresolve many labour disputes before Labour Inspector, Conciliation Officer, and Assistant Labour Commissioner in Jalandhar, Amritsar, Pathankot and Nawanshahr districts though Negotiation.

Factory Licence: Get approved 3 Factory Licences, revised 4 Factory Licences.

Safety: Installed ceasefire fire equipment in all locations. Conduct fire safety program and demo every year in all locations from 2010 onwards. Spread safety awareness in staff.
