QuEST Global engineering (engineering service provider for P&W aero engines) 2014-Present

Senior Lead Engineer/AQE (in Quality/Supply Chain Management)-

GPF tracker (IMPS) experience, working on continuous improvement(PICA) as project lead with different teams,

Training to be QE and team lead

Updating and checking PW paperwork to be ok to continue in the process;

QA technician –

I inspected a variety of bearings and housings (mostly aerospace) with different gages and x-rays against blueprint (P&W/Sikorsky/Timken/etc.).

First article inspection/CMM

Worked with many varieties of different company’s paperwork, to get ready for customers.

I was trusted for customer interface and individual judgment.

I was responsible for ensuring accuracy of certification, documentation, and updating process specs and parts lists.

I was training to be internal auditor, but never received the cert.

I had to do checks of all parts and stay within the customers print dimensions.

Angrave Metrology & Supply 2006-2007 (lay off)

Calibration technician –

Traveled and worked independently @ customer sites to troubleshoot and calibrate a variety of gages and equipment, as well as resurfacing granite blocks.

Did some FAI’s/Calibrated CMM’s

I was trusted for customer interface and individual judgment.

I quickly learned the UPS shipping & receiving process.

I learned how to fix optical comparators and gages.

I was responsible for ensuring accuracy of all the certification documentations.

I worked in a variety of technical roles within the organization, including machine operator, Supplier Quality, Utility & Camshaft Technician.

I learned role of machine setter & gained experience in this skill while I was here.

I took responsibility for teaching Quality metrics and improving the company’s tracking system.

I was recognized as the “go to “problem solver for the shift.

I kept track of the scrap for the Mercedes line, helping to pinpoint problems and decrease cost (was at 6% scrap, got it down to 1.5%)
