WORK EXPERIENCE
Verisk 3E Company. Canton, Ohio. November 2007- July 2018. Manager, Support Services. Responsibilities included:
1.Supervision of 16 full-time staff including SQL developers, customer support representatives and a training specialist, as well as two team members in Tokyo, Japan.
2.Management of new installations of the 3E Generate (formerly MSDgen) SDS authoring software from initial planning session to final sign-off and approval. Installations often included an interface with a variety of ERP systems as well as label design and implementation.
3.Management of the upgrade of existing client applications, usually across multiple versions and various levels of difficulty.
4.Oversight of client relations for more than 130 customer implementations, as well as support for and maintenance of the software implementation cycle for clients in the United States, Europe and Japan.
5.Management of the workload of 20+ developers/programmers through the JIRA request system using AGILE workload management guidelines.
6.General oversight of Canton office operations, including planning internal and external events, overseeing and executing office expansions and guiding day-to-day activities.
Summit County Health District (SCHD). Stow, Ohio. December 1984 – November 2007. Information Systems Manager. Responsibilities included:
1.Building partner relationships with Health District supervisors and field staff to develop, design, implement and maintain all major computer applications (1,000+ screens and reports). Originally developed using the Informix database and tools. Was in process of converting to SQL Server 2000 using Crystal Reports XI. Areas of development included:
Personnel (including tracking of released time, EEO reports).
Payroll and statistical collection from time sheets.
Accounts receivable; accounts payable; cost accounting.
Communicable disease tracking by client and nursing clinic records.
Environmental health licensing and permit programs, including application generation, processing and issuing of permits, fee accountability, inspection tracking and violation collection and analysis.
2.Implementation of individual systems, working one-on-one with SCHD staff.
3.Operation of nine servers including a UNIX/LINUX box to run Informix products, a web server and an exchange server running Server 2000/2003.
4.Supervision of and onsite assistance for the help desk supporting the network (nine servers), 100+ desktop/laptop PCs and 12 network printers.
5.Oversight of telecommunication systems design, operation and maintenance.
6.Management of a $350,000 annual budget that included software purchase/upgrade, hardware replacement, maintenance and service agreement negotiation and monitoring and purchasing of computer supplies.
7.Participation in long-range strategic planning for IT systems.
