As a part of the Entry program for internationally qualified nurses (IHNA) I got an opportunity to work in Dubbo Private Hospital and Aurrum aged care Reservoir. Key responsibilities &Procedures done during the period:
Manual handling : use of Lifter, portable stand up hoists, pelican belts,
Admission, discharge, transfer residents, developing care plans, documentation, blood glucose monitoring, wound dressing, medication through oral, subcutaneous, and intravenously, personal care.
Also I got chance to take care of some residents living with all sorts of chronic conditions, dementia, psycho geriatric and hospital level care independently.
