4/1997-10/2000 Sims Manufacturing; Rutland, MA; Payne, OH; & Long Sault, Ont.Angus Palm; Watertown, SD and Greenridge, TN Position main direction was the ERP implementation at 3 plants in the US and Canada that manufactured tractor cabs for John Deere, Kabota, Caterpillar and Gallion. Directed the wiring, server installs and consulting. Completed the export and import of all data at all sites including reviewing all data such as vendor and customer master, item master, BOM, GL, work center and labor collection systems and integration. consolidation of financials between plants.

During the implementation of the last plant Sims was purchased by Angus Palm of South Dakota and 2 more plants were added in SD and TN, These plants were going to be on a different platform and were installed on NY rather than Novell. Project was finished 4 months early. I left the company when they wanted me to move to SD but continued to consult and advise company until Rutland, MA plant was moved to TN.

10/2000-9/2003 System Manager Ferrotec USA Corporation (formerly Ferrofluidics)

Designed and installed WAN connectivity between UK; NH; California, Germany and Japan. Includes Router, firewalls and VPN devices, T1 providers, network security and user database. Maintained Netware 5.1, Novell 3.12, NT, Win 2000, GroupWise servers, switches and network, printers. Maintained Fourth Shift ERP package and technology support for Oracle 11i ERP package hosted in CA. Removed Token Ring and replaced infrastructure with TCP/IP Ethernet cabling. Assisted Oracle in designing printing solution with 11i. Completed all data migration and conversion from Forth Shift to Oracle 11i.Company had a major layoff after foreign plants refused to adopt Oracle and the US plant was burdened with all the costs for implementation.

10/2003-10/2004 Consultant Harvard Pilgrim Health Care

One of 2 CNE’s maintaining connectivity between Novell and NT networks. Designed and maintained the disaster recovery process and data backups and restores. Third level support for network, applications and printing issues. Scope of work covered 2 sites in Wellesley and Quincy with 320 Windows servers and 15 Novell connected to 2 EMC 600 Ssns. Trouble shoot application and database performance issues with many due to db and app location in relation to the user or group accessing it. Also assisted development creating VMWare servers for development sandboxes and backing and restoring them when the developer requested refreshes of the environment. .Left to secure a job with benefits.

9/2004-9/2005 IT Manager EM4 Inc.

Brought on quickly to get their Exchange 2000 System up and get a languishing ERP implementation back on track and completed. Required a complete dump of all data and a review of all db’s to cleanup item master, BOM, customer master, vendor master and GLRe-engineered manufacturing lines to better utilize the ERP system and increased productivity by 35%.Stayed on through 3 layoffs but felt it wasn’t prudent to wait till they were closing the door or selling so I found a another position. Maintained a consulting relationship for a year after I left.

8/2005-11/2008 IT Manager Mayflower Management LLC

Contract to perm position with my role changing from consultant and advisor to IT Manager handling design and installation of a data center in Burlington, MA including, Exchange 2003, AD, DNS, DHCP, Great Plains, backup, VPN, and MS Office apps for 30 management personnel. Burlington office managed 3 1250 MW jet turbine power plants in TX, OK, and MS. Plants required purchase of OSI Pi software and 750 000 tags which had to installed and configured and PI programmed to report performance, statistics and environmental readings and alerts to the plants themselves as well as Burlington and the power grid feed. Management location was shifting to Columbia, MD and the Burlington office was going to be closed. I found another position but maintained their network, servers, backup, laptops and connectivity for an additional year part time until I was instructed to bring down the data center and disassemble the racks and box the servers for relocation and the best partime job I ever had ened
