Dr. Nathan Kemalyan: Newberg, OR February 2018 – April 2018 As a mechanical engineer intern, I was expected to design and build rapid conceptual prototypes as well as document the manufacturing processes of each iteration; research, test, and present relevant materials for final products; research, pursue, and maintain professional relationships with various local retailers and experts in order to obtain guidance, materials, and access to industrial machinery to build prototypes; track purchases; and keep up-to-date daily reports. George Fox University: Newberg, OR September 2017 – April 2018 As a custodian, I was expected to act as team leader; constantly keep track of what tasks have been completed, what needed to be done, and what people’s strengths were in order to direct others and keep the team running efficiently; train new employees; handle potentially hazardous chemicals; troubleshoot and repair cleaning machinery; and adapt to new issues efficiently.
George Fox Engineering Department: Newberg, OR August 2016 – December 2016 As a teacher’s assistant for Fluid Mechanics, it was my responsibility to grade tests and homework with in-depth understanding of the material; give feedback; answer students’ questions; and help with any other project the professor requested.
Posey Sisters’ Catering Services: Modesto, CA July 2014 – December 2015 As a caterer, my responsibilities were to serve clients with enthusiasm, respect, and sophistication; prepare and serve food and drinks; organize and keep sufficient stock of necessary materials; find quick solutions to unexpected problems; and ensure the overall satisfaction of our clients.
