IT Positions
Fifteen years experience gained at Office Depot, Inc., advanced through the ranks, starting in the technical development area, and ascending into management positions within the IT department.
Application Development, Sr. Manager 2005 – 2009
Managed retail store and warehouse inventory software applications, which maintained over a billion dollar Inventory level.
Merged the retail and warehouse inventory application development teams into one team, cross trained and developed team members skills and expanded their knowledge.
Designed and Implemented controls, and alerts to reduce inventory shrink levels into an acceptable range.
Responsible for physical inventory applications and inventory transaction applications across the company’s North America operations through all of the software life cycle phases and support functions.
Application Development, Sr. Manager 2003 – 2005
Managed 5 development teams simultaneously, in the retail store systems IT development area.
Managed the POS team and related applications. Participated in multiple POS releases and standard maintenance. Converted retail stores from SNA to IP. Participated in solutions to provide the level of security to meet SOX compliance regulations in regards to downloading data to other environments.
Managed Credit Authorization team and related applications. Separated authorization functions (Debit/Credit etc.) and moved functions to separate regions for a more streamlined approach, which limits impact when issues arise and allows easier DR. Created backup regions for auto cut over when sites experience problems. Converted vendors from SNA to IP. Included more customer information on transactions allowing for safer and easier authorization and resulting in reduced vendor costs. Implemented changes for VISA Track II data compliance.
Managed the Retail Store Quality Assurance team. Responsible for testing releases for POS, Sign Station and Store Workstations and Servers. Set controls and managed numerous dependencies and priorities simultaneously. Provided team with the resources, controls and support to effectively and efficiently request testing resources and set testing scopes.
Managed the Retail Store Inventory team and related Retail Store physical inventory and inventory transaction applications across North America through all of the software life cycle phases. Implemented SLA infraction tracking and resolution process, resulting in SLA infractions for the team to fall way below the company level and significantly reduced the amount of after hours support.
Managed the Retail Store Work station and Server team and related equipment. Stabilized and redeployed RF guns with new client software and updated configurations. Managed Retail Store desktop and sever releases.

Managed the Reference Application Development team. Responsible for the applications to create and maintain core information data, i.e. Location setup, SKU setup, etc. and interfaces of information to other areas within the company.
Senior Application Developer 1995 – 2001
