R&D/ Formulation Chemist I
Formulate LM UV Flexo inks similar in properties to Solarfelx FSP using Solarverse bases and LM Technology varnish. This project is considered a Top Management project and I had the pleasure of presenting a new technology undergoing chemistry to the company.
Conducted multiply stability testing with one particular ink system and tested/recorded the rheology for each samples.
Developed new and modified product formulations which contains batch processing using different ink systems and varnishes.
Ongoing training to evaluate chemical suppliers and to find alternate supplies of existing chemicals and new chemicals for new product formulations.
Assists in outlining an experimental approach for solutions to project assignments.
Formulates inks and bases and prepares them for evaluation.
Performs all evaluations using established standard operating procedures. Ensures all ISO requirements are met and produces the necessary documentation to maintain compliance.
Communicates the results of project assignments and field trials in the form of oral and written presentations.
Maintains a lab notebook and records as necessary for reference to past laboratory assignments. Documents assigned projects and hours in GPM and acts to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.
Assists in production plant scale-up of new formulations and assists in the formulation modification when necessary.
Evaluates raw material/cost performance evaluations.
