USF Environmental Health, Safety, and Security Manager, South East Region April 2012 – Aug 2018 Provides all USF, Stockyards, Culinary Equipment & Supply, and CHEFS retail units in the Region with the requisite program management guidance, oversight, and assistance in the areas of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulatory compliance (state and federal); workplace safety and environmental; and security/ loss prevention to ensure the Divisions are able to safely operate in full compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and in a manner consistent with US Foods Policies and Procedures. USF Safety/ Security Specialist

Accountable for identifying common safety/ health hazards inherent in the organization’s operations, and establish guidelines and establish guidelines for protection from those hazards. Ensure compliance with all OSHA, DOT, and EPA State and Federal guidelines. Develop safe standard work practices with all members of management and monitor conformance through safety and housekeeping audits. Analyze trends of all claims and implement appropriate corrective actions. Establish and maintain a presence with the workforce, through walk-through, meetings, inspections, and being accessible to all associates in their work environment. Serves dining establishments, casual restaurants, quick serve restaurants, hotels, school systems, and health care providers. Operates one retail store, Chef Smart, in Winston-Salem, NC. Partners with sister company, Lowes Foods, a chain of over 100 grocery stores in NC, SC and VA.

IFH Safety/ Security Manager July 1996 – Oct. 2009 Accountable for driving the highest of safety and quality standards. Hired to design and manage a food safety program to guarantee the safest possible food products for IFH customers. Also responsible for ensuring all employees are trained in Federal and State OSHA requirements. Ensured that all industry safety program regulations are in compliance. Developed and maintained a safety program which identifies hazards and abatements to those hazards.

• 2007 IFH President’s Award Winner for safety and compliance audit scores.

• Wrote all OSHA Safety, HACCP, Food Security, EPA, GMP, SSOP, Food Safety related policies and procedures for IFH.
