Working with lead MRI Technologist, John Thornton, honed and refined job related skills. I have consistently been obtaining quality images as directed by the radiologists by using appropriate technical factors and scanning techniques, also administering contrast medium when appropriate. I consistently ensure safety of patients by utilizing safety procedures according to ACR. Trouble shooting equipment problems and insure patient safety and comfort at all times is part of my job as an MRI tech. Greeted and prepared patients for their MRI examination by briefly explaining the procedure and process. Ensured safety utilizing MRI safety procedures according to ACR, checking labs for those about to receive contrast studies, screening the patients before entering the magnetic field, supplying and inserting hearing protection, positioning the patient in the appropriate coil, administering contrast medium when appropriate, and communicating with the patient throughout the exam.
