Distribution: Open the Post Office promptly every morning at 5am. Remove all incoming mail off delivery truck. Bring inside mail that is to be sorted, passed around to carriers and scanned. Take outside mail that is already sorted by letter carrier to be taken to delivery trucks. Sort all incoming letters and flats by street address at sorting cases, when these are all done I move on to scanning and sorting all Priority, First Class, and Standard Class parcels. Sort all incoming parcels from UPS, FedEx, and other smaller carriers, sort letters, flats and parcels for P.O. Boxes. Mail letters and packages for customers offering options of Express (overnight), Priority, First Class, or Standard according to weight and time of delivery. Provide options for Certified, Registered, Insured, and International mail and ensure that proper forms were completed. Tracking mail for customers, scanning prepaid mailings, and processing mail holds. Selling P.O. Boxes, mailing products (boxes, tape, labels, etc.). Preparing outgoing mail for Dispatchers.
