Work Experience
-Sales
October 2009-May 2010
Lifeway Christian Bookstore Amarillo, Texas
Cashier and stocked efficiently. It was mostly retail and I loved working in retail. Loved the Job, but had to leave when I graduated and had to go away to college. I maintained a positive attitude to make customer's shopping experiences memorable and pleasant.
-Student Worker
May 2011-January 2012
Howard Payne University Brownwood, Texas
Answered Phones and filed mostly. Did databases and different thing for multiple people around the office. Was well liked and I can learn to do something quickly if I don’t know how to do it. I am an efficient typer as well, and I also gave tours to incoming students. Had to leave because I switched schools and moving.
-Intern
March 2012-December 2012
Circle 6 Ranch Baptist Encampment Lenorah, Texas
I was an intern here for a few months. It is a summer camp and also a retreat center during the off season. I have done anything here from organizing, cleaning, mowing, lifeguarding, the ropes center, and kitchen staff. I had great relationships with all the campers and their sponsors. I as an intern was responsible for multiple jobs and people. I love the people here, but I had to leave because I started school at UCO in Oklahoma and my internship was up.
-Food Service
February 2013-March 2013
Chick Fil-A Edmond, Oklahoma
I was mostly in the kitchen working the fryer, building sandwiches, and washing dishes. I liked my co-workers, but the work was always a little too fast paced for me. I liked washing dishes and helping customers with the food. Left because I found a better opportunity that would work with my school schedule.
-Visitor Service
March 2013-August 2013
Science Museum of Oklahoma OKC, Oklahoma
I worked at the Science Museum because it was more along the lines for my history degree. I worked every weekend in the Omni Plex Concession Stand. I re-stocked food and made popcorn for customers, I also handled all sales transactions with the computer. Then closed the register and cleaned my area at the end of the day. I left because they could not give me the fulltime hours I was needing since I had to quit school because of the out of state tuition.
-Store Associate
August 2013-June 2014
National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum Store OKC, Oklahoma
I worked in the Museum Store as a retail associate for 11 Months. I dealt with major transactions on the computer and over the phone. Helped customers with their retail experience and would usually be able to help customers find what they were looking for. I was efficient at the register and re-stocking items that needed to be stocked. I worked in the store until I moved to a different position within the store.
-Inventory Control
June 2014-Febuary 2017
I worked as the main Inventory Control for the Museum Store for 4 Years 8 Months. I handled all inventory items that came through the store. I got the boxes from the dock, unpacked them, input them into the GP System, and then price them and take them upstairs to the store. I also did a lot of data entry using the GP system and excel was a main resource I used for keeping up with all the inventory, vendor information, and box counts. I also dealt with vendors and got all their accounting information for the system, so they could be paid for the items we bought and be contacted by anyone in the store to reorder product. I ordered supplies and minor inventory when my manager needed me too. I fixed items that were broken when I could and helped customers if they had shipping complaints. I sometimes shipped out items to customers and vendors if it was necessary.
-Administrative Assistant
February 2017-August 2018
I am currently employed by Hesperus Camp as the Administrative Assistant. My role is includes answering all the phone calls for the camp to book a retreat or camp, it also includes making the contracts and being the main contact for all upcoming groups and their retreat or week-long camps. Also, I cook, clean, deal with State Regulatory agencies and do anything around the camp that needs to be done. My job mostly deals with data entry and contact with customers answering questions or concerns. I also made the retail and concession stand inventory system and made barcodes for all the retail products that were needed. I learned QuickBooks for payroll, paying bills, taking donations, and doing reports for the board and staff. It is an excellent job with great people, but the camp is going through some financial issues and the board is deciding to let all the full-time staff go and go to full volunteer use. The job is full of surprises and new challenges everyday and it has taught me to make my time count weather it be in the kitchen or in the office.
