Projects Completed: kinetic and modelling studies on the adsorption of heavy metals (Lead and copper) using lemon and granadilla peels as adsorbents (period of 12 months).

Plant design using Chemcad 7 programme; whereby methanol to be produced from Biomass (lignin-C) using processes like gasification, Reactor, Distillation, heat exchanger, etc, the process at the end managed to run and produced more than 80% methanol, (period of 12 months).

Responsibility:

Dosing chemicals and monitoring thickeners, furnaces (Tundish), shell tanks and baghouse operation, pelletizing plant and cooling towers.

Lab sample preparation and analysis for water quality (by means of titration).

Investigation production problems and introducing new innovations.

Monitoring dosing rates mainly flocculants, cooling water corrosion inhibitor, cooling water micro-biocide and ferrous sulphate.
