Since 2006 I have been employed with Native American casinos. I have held positions as vault employee, blackjack table, security dispatcher, trainer and supervisor.
Specialized training
Leadership training-I was fortunate to be recommended for the leadership program and leadership classes offered through the Riverwind Casino. Through the leadership classes I learned management and supervision skills and I became a supervisor soon after completing the program. As a supervisor I scheduled employees and maintained appropriate staffing levels, assisted subordinate employees with work related problems, trained employees on the importance of an appropriate work ethic and personal and professional integrity.
Security training-As a security employee I am trained and trusted to handle millions of dollars in casino assets, maintain accurate accounting of casino assets, as well as the responsibility to operate and maintain casino money counting equipment.
Additional security training and responsibilities-Casino security is rigorous and critical to casino operation. I am trained and frequently handle multiple positions simultaneously including answering multiline phone systems while responding to constant and simultaneous radio communications. All casino operations relating to security functions require maintaining perfect composure during extraordinary and challenging times of crisis, the ability to listen and be extraordinarily detail oriented, capture and record details, determine appropriate action and make swift and sound referrals. I am also trained to monitor security check points. I pride myself in my ability to maintain professional relationships at all times and maintain the highest integrity and confidentiality.
