Title Analysis of G+6 building with and without shear wall using Etab Duration 3 months
Team Size 3 Students
Description The main purpose of the project is to know the actual difference between the action of building with the shear wall and without the shear wall, it shows different results of building such as displacement, story drift and story shear with and without the shear wall. Shear wall resists horizontal earthquake forces, transfer the horizontal forces to the next element in the load path and provides lateral stiffness to prevent the roof or floor above from excessive side’s way. In this project, we proposed the plan in AutoCAD and with reference to cad plan our Planning and modeling are done in ETAB software then the analysis is done. At last, we have resulted in the form of graphs. According to obtained graphs of displacements, story shear and story drift we concluded that displacement, story drift and story shear of the G+6 building with shear wall gives better results than G+6 building without the shear wall. Role • Worked as team leader.
