PRODUCTION

Drafting a plan of the production schedule in a manner which optimises productivity. Analysing machine cycle times to ensure correct sequencing is maintained in an assembly line.

Conducting regular inspection of machines to monitor machine related issues in order to reduce wastage of raw materials, time and energy. After determining the seriousness of a fault, taking necessary actions to get the issue resolved.

Going over the production plan (reviewing the previous contract deliverable timings and material wastage) on a monthly basis, to look at any areas which require improvement, to ensure efficient production and optimal growth.

Self-designing go, no-go gauges in order to reduce time consumed in checking quality parameters.

Preparation of reports which specify niche details of daily production and plant operation.

Checking for correct implementation of procedures under ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 guidelines. Promotion of safe, healthy and energy efficient practices.

Carefully studying the quality assurance plan (QAP) and ascertain procedures that need to be followed while manufacturing products. Going through the general assembly and manufacturing drawings to understand the specifics of the product and ascertain the checkpoints for inspection.

Preparing inspection reports with suggestions for improvements. Aiding the client’s inspection team with carrying out their inspection at our factories before product despatch, to ensure that the products are at par with their standards and their expectations are satisfactorily met.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT (Assistant to VP Projects)

Liaising with other departments in the company to keep track of the progress made in various projects. Further, acting as project coordinator to keep clients updated about all matters pertaining to their project and making sure that all their requirements are satisfactorily met.

Preparing monthly reports on deviation from erection targets and expenditure at various project sites for higher management. Writing reports for monthly in-house design and production target.

Acting as an expediter on behalf of VP projects with vendors to speed up supply.

Training Programs

DURGAPUR STEEL PLANT, SAIL TRAINEE 06/07/2015 TO 17/07/2015 This training program taught me the major processes related to steel manufacturing. Speaking to personnel from each departments, I understood the functions and the workings of department and division, which were very important to understand the working of the plant as a whole.

TATA STEEL HOOGHLY MET. COKE DIVISION, HALDIA TRAINEE 12/01/2015 TO 19/01/2015 I was educated about the manufacturing process of metallurgical coke and the working of conveyor belt systems. I learnt how large amounts of raw material is efficiently handled by careful observation of the engineers and managers working in their Material Handing division. The major takeaway I received from this training program is how effortless it is to implement safety culture by integrating safety practices into the process.

My responsibilities included talent scouting, organise a functioning team, motivating them to do their best while actively performing as the bass guitarist of the team. We secured second place under my leadership and supervision.

Organising X-Uberence provided a great opportunity for applying my communication skills as it required coordination between cross functional teams, teachers and school management.

Awarded 2nd prize for designing an electronic device, for switching off an electrical device namely room lights, in sufficient ambient lighting.

I was a member of my school’s Western musical band as a guitarist for multiple years.
