PROJECTS:
Research project at Western Michigan University with Dr. Ikhlas Qader
Face recognition assistance for Children with Autism using MATLAB April 2017- Dec 2017
Created a prototype for facial expression recognition using MATLAB. Detected a face using Viola-Jones algorithm performed PCA and could detect two emotions on the face happy and sad by using a classifier K Nearest Neighbor classifier.
Creating a PCB layout for USB to UART converter
Designed a four-layered PCB using Cadence Allegro. Generated Gabor files and drill files necessary for the manufacturing of PCB. Also generated assembly drawing and attained the required output with an operational voltage range is 5V to 12V and generated with 1sec of the input supply.
Designed and built a 19V AC to 5V DC converter using Altium
Designed a PCB with dimensions 2.33”X2.63”. With four mounting holes four on each corner with a diameter of 0.1”. The power connectors that are the input-output connectors are placed opposing each other on the board. Generated all the required files for manufacturing and attained the required output.
Designed a Watt MOSFET Amplifier
Designed a 50-Watt MOSFET power amplifier circuit on PSPICE that can be operated between -30V to +30V range. Further designed a 4-layer PCB layout with Altium. Calibrated and controlled the output to meet as the input shape but with an increased amplitude.
Radio-isotope Thermoelectric Generator using Solid works and ANSYS
RTGs have used power sources in several NASA space missions. Using Mathcad, the optimum values for many fins, length of the fins and other thermodynamic variables were calculated and attained an optimum value for the power generated and designed a model for RTG using ANSYS and Solid works.
Designed a Aurdino Uno board using Altium
Created all the components and drew schematic symbols with their foot prints. Generated 3D model of the board and Bill of materials (BOM). Generated Gerber files, drill files, pick and place and all the files required for manufacturing. Optimized component placement and Routing and auto-routing performed design rule checking after routing PCB.
