With no previous experience in this area of manufacturing I was able to master set expectations with the help of an experienced lab technician. After a short period with little intervention from my direct supervisor I was able to build a 5S laboratory from the ground up at their facility in Massachusetts in addition to developing, writing, and aiding in the publication of the newest test procedures and equipment operating procedures. Lastly I developed a user friendly database to collect, record, and compare testing results for the quality department. This database shortened their first article and first piece inspection by one-third of their previous testing times.

Within the first four months of employment with Metso Automation I acquired my certificate as a Certified Quality Inspector through the American Society of Quality as well as becoming the first within the company to hold a certification as Certified Calibration Technician through ASQ.
