Successfully improved equipment reliability by 110 hours per month and improved productivity by eliminating inadequate processes through clear, effective personnel training, equipment modifications and upgrades. Redesigned bricking layout of furnace to improve gas stream flows and smelting reaction with a result of reducing furnace rebuilds from 6 days to 4 days.
