Social Impact DesignHub

Art & Design Center on the California State University, Northridge campus

An campus co-operative course/studio. Worked on projects for nonprofit community clients. Worked individually and with teams on concepts and design of branding and marketing materials. As a designer and team member, this coop challenged me to expand my comprehension of design problem solving for new audiences and explore the many roles a professional designer plays when executing socially- minded work. We learned and applied the techniques of design-thinking and design methodologies for visual communication: empathy, identifying problems, design research, ideation, and implementation. Social Impact DesignHub was a place where design has purpose.

EXPERIENCE

I have a strong understanding of the Adobe software tools needed for the graphic design profession. I have demonstrated my knowledge of my skills in my portfolio with use of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign. I am knowledgeable of Microsoft office: MS Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.

SKILLS

I’m a Los Angeles native who is a graphic designer and a friendly professional who can work well with a team. I follow various fashion brands and designer like, Azzedine Alaïa & Thierry Mugler and Alexander Mcqueen I read and study magazines like Vogue, Fader, Nylon, and CR Fashion book. I am fascinated by companies that do fashion photo retouching, such as Milk Studios and be part of a companies like Condé Nast who done beautiful editorial work for a magazine like Vogue. Even though my interests are in fashion, I can also easily mold to the different strategies other industries apply, such as branding and marketing companies. My hope is to obtain a job that will allow me to grow and be a part of the growth of a successful company.
