Major GPA: 3.2

Collaborative Smart Car Design Project: Gearbox Design

•Designed a gearbox for the transmission of a car using Siemens NX7 for a collaborative project with PACE for various universities across the world. Transmission was to be used as part of the assembly of a Smart Car. My role in this project was to help with the drawings and the gear and bearing calculations. Results were that we placed in the overall PACE contest.

Senior Design Project: Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Design and Programming

•Prototyped an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle using Siemens NX7 and ANSYS for stress analysis. Used various machine tools and welding to create the frame, and worked on the electrical components. Used the Arduino board and C++ programming to allow the vehicle to move on its own. Assigned role was to be the connection between the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams, and I assisted with calculations with both of the teams. This was a collaborative project for future students and we accomplished designing the prototype for the vehicle.

•2-D and 3-D Modeling and assembly with Solid Works, 2-D and 3-D modeling and FEA with NX7, Mathematical MATLAB programming, C++ programming, 2-D and 3-D modeling with AutoCAD, FEA with ANSYS, Bill of Materials work, Programming and Data Analysis with Excel and MATLAB, Basic Knowledge of Machine Shop fabrication techniques, Microsoft Office Suite, basic knowledge of GD&T

Continued Personal Self Development

Researched skills relevant to various Mechanical Engineering positions. These skills include but aren’t limited to SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Finite Element Analysis, Computational Fluid Analysis, Failure Analysis, as well as other related skills that may help me be successful in this position.

Trainer September 2009–June 2013

Outback Steakhouse

Developed training and leadership skills as a server and trainer. As a trainer we went to multiple training development courses which allowed us to perform instruct future servers for them to perform their duties. Developed spreadsheets using Excel to calculate the weekly, monthly, and yearly sales. Assisted new employees with new skills developed; which produced better sales, customer service, and multitasking. Lead in sales averages and overall sales for multiple months.

Information Technology Help Desk

Houston Community College System

Assisted students in the resetting of passwords, as well as general login issues. Helped instructors as well as other staff with technical issues using PeopleSoft. Helped technicians with hardware and software issues. Most of these issues were Windows XP or Windows 2000 related. Also helped with installation issues.
