DESIGN PROJECTS

Collaborative Smart Car Design Project: Gearbox Design

•Designed a gearbox for the transmission of a car using Siemens NX7 for a collaborative project with PACE for various universities across the world. Transmission was to be used as part of the assembly of a Smart Car. My role in this project was to help with the drawings and the gear and bearing calculations. Results were that we placed in the overall PACE contest.

Senior Design Project: Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Design and Programming

•Prototyped an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle using Siemens NX7 and ANSYS for stress analysis. Used various machine tools and welding to create the frame, and worked on the electrical components. Used the Arduino board and C++ programming to allow the vehicle to move on its own. Assigned role was to be the connection between the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams, and I assisted with calculations with both of the teams. This was a collaborative project for future students and we accomplished designing the prototype for the vehicle.
