Accounting Supervisor

OPTUM, a United Health Group Co., Franklin Tennessee – January 2013 to Present

Accounting Supervisor: Promoted just over a year of hire. Prepare Goals and Annual Reviews for both clerical and professional staff. Assess, evaluate, and develop successful plans to meet goals for employees on Corrective Action Plans. Successfully work with peers and other managers to ensure all month end entries are completed and financial estimates and forecasts are timely provided. Prepare Balance Sheet Analysis and Variance Analysis. System Owner of Great Plains General Ledger Software. Currently, playing a major role in General Ledger and AP conversion to PeopleSoft (Oracle Software,) along with Data Server Migration from TN to MN. Work closely with Finance team to prepare estimates and upload A/R and Revenue to UHG Corporate Systems. Provide training and support to Accounting staff as needed. Review vast array of account reconciliations using Blackline Software. Prepare advanced account analysis for management evaluation. Review/Prepare month-end and intersegment journal entries as assigned Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual revenue statements and taxable income statements for Corporate.
