Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the NOC, completion of NOC functions, such as the active and passive monitoring of ITS infrastructure, troubleshooting and triage of presented issues, as well as the proper escalation of incidents to ensure resolution. The NOCTECH is the first line of defense against device/network outages, and works to ensure that any experienced outage is handled as effectively and efficiently as possible. It is expected that the NOCTECH will become proficient with the tools provided, as well as evaluate and recommend tools, software, and utilities to improve the efficiency of operations. They will provide operational support and oversight of ITS devices, fiber networks and related systems. They will triage issues and outages, in concert with the NOC Specialists or NOC Manager, create work orders, track progress and run various reports.

Monitor Sprint-Nextel's NORTEL, MOTOROLA, LUCENT AND IDEN Network via Netcool real-time alarm monitoring software.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting Telco T1 circuit related outages affecting single and multiple subscribers, as well as managing multiple projects involved in the analysis and engineering for network systems, new data services and devices.

Able to identify network outages and Telco circuit outages.

Assisting with NTAC, ASA (Access Assurance Service), Enterprise Care, Assist MSOs (Mobile Switching Office), Field Engineers, Service Providers, NTS, Vendors and other Sprint-Nextel support organizations and in the resolution of customer related Telco circuit issues/ customer service effecting faults/outages.

Escalate troubles ever hour with LEC's (Local Exchange Carriers) and IXC’s (Inter Exchange Carriers) to ensure minimal downtime of circuits.

XM SATELLITE RADIO - 01/2002-04/2003 Network Control Technician

Operations of a satellite earth station including the Uplink Delivery.
