EXPERIENCE

JULY 2014 – JANUARY 2016

CUSTOMER SERVICE & BEAUTY CONSULTANT, Walgreens

TEAM MEMBER- 20 HRS/WEEK

I worked as a beauty consultant and cashier while providing customer service. Welcoming customers into the store and greeting them in a courteous manner allowed me to be the only sixteen-year-old to be allowed to work at the local Walgreens.

APRIL 2016 – JULY 2016

SERVER, locatellis

TEAM MEMBER- 30 HRS/WEEK

At this family owned restaurant, I provided customer service to guests. My responsibilities included greeting and welcoming guests, providing courteous phone service, cleaning machines and the restaurant, and serving delicious homemade meals to our customers.

JULY 2016 – CURRENT

SOLDIER, US Army active and reserves

After Basic Training, I completed training to become a 68W, Combat Medic. As of April 2017, I have been attached to 288th CSH Reserve Unit. I have received awards of excellence for my accomplishments and hard-work. As a medic, I have been placed as a lead medic to watch over physical training. As part of the medic platoon, I helped my team teach various medical skills and run trauma lanes for the entire company in preparation for our annual training. Every drill weekend, I am given time to practice my medical skills and continue my medical education. Being a medic for the army has given me unique medical experience and opportunities. It has allowed me to receive medical training similar and dissimilar to civilian techniques.

TEAM MEMBER- 30-40 HRS/WEEK

I began working as a seasonal employee and after seeing my work ethic, was asked to work in a permanent position as head of my own department. As head of the Domestics department, I provide customer service, sales replenishment, and driving sales.

JULY 2017- AUGUST 2017

MEDICAL ASSISTANT, US army – Baumholder Army base, Germany

I worked independently with a Physician in the family clinic on base. As a medical assistant, I received patients, walked them back to the room, took vitals, as well as updated medical records before relaying information to the Physician. During the appointments, I took notes in the system for the Physicians reports and input prescriptions for Physicians approval. This was a learning experience because it allowed me to gain further medical knowledge and sit in on various procedures. It gave me an open door to question the Physician about procedures and any medical related inquiries. This experience gave me face to face patient interaction and further hands on practice with skills I learned when I was training to be a medic. It allowed me to also become familiar with medical records and databases used. This job also strengthened my multitasking skills and taught me how to better manage multiple patients at a time. Many times, a family with several children would be seen and I was in charge of taking all vitals, updating medical records and editing medical documents while being seen by the physician.
