Bachelor of Science in Computer Science awarded Feb. 2017
Graduated Magna cum Laude (GPA: 3.5)
Computer Skills
Familiar with Programming Languages: Java, Python, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, SQL, XML,
CSS, HTML
Familiar with Technologies/Applications: Linux, Windows, NetBeans IDE, Excel, Android
Computer Experience
• Designed and programmed a Java banking system for a class project that was held in main memory. Drew UML diagrams and then implemented the system using inheritance and object-oriented programming concepts in the creation and management of the simulated accounts.
• Created an Android App using Android Studio as my Software Engineering II class project. My App involved displaying a map using the Google Map API and Google Play Services, modifying some AWS sign-in functionality so that I could create an account manually in the Cloud and sign-in from an Android device, and changes to the UI, the user interface. The App was targeted at Nougat (v7.1) with a minimum of Jelly Bean (v4.2) for the Android Operating System.
Relevant Coursework
• Practiced coding and performing in a mock Agile environment in Software Engineering I.
• Reviewed the following in Software Engineering II: embedded systems, software reuse, CBSE, service-oriented architectures (SOA), REST, WAFs, JSP, EJB, Java Servlets, and Tomcat.
• Covered topics in Operating Systems such as IPC pipes, sysV semaphores, virtual memory, processes, threads and multi-threaded code, sequencers, ring buffers, shared memory, deadlock.
After Graduation from College
• Continued to improve my computer skills by learning about JavaScript, Python, C++, Java, virtualization (the technology that underlies the Cloud), and about multi-processor systems from a Modern Operating Systems textbook.
• Currently studying machine learning course materials from Google and so far have used TensorFlow and Python in coding exercises.
• Wrote and self-published an eBook (though it is not related to computers).
