Agricultural land management. Jack County, TX 2016 to present

I worked on the revitilization of my 30 acres in Jack Co. Texas. I established new fruit and nut trees. Plowed and planted areas for hay and grass for sale. Cut over 300 cords of wood for sale after a fire damaged many oak trees on the property. Installed electrical, plumbing, water well, and septic to the property. Installed new barbed wire fencing and gates. Plowed new access roads. Renovated a modular building on site. I am working with the Texas Railroad Commision on cleaning up the Oil drilling areas that were abandoned.

VANGUARD MODULAR BUILDING SYSTEMS. Bedford, TX 2011- 2016

Branch Operations Manager

Managed the operations of the South Central Region Modular sales force. Oversaw all construction management,

from conception to completion throughout the states of TX, LA, OK and AR. This included modular hospitals, schools and office space rentals as well as permanent structures. Worked with local vendors and established long term relationships for the maintenance and upkeep of the completed projects.

NORTHWEST INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT (N.I.S.D.) Justin, TX 2004 – 2010

Construction Manager

Planned, organized, directed, controlled and evaluated the activities of assigned construction projects from start to finish, and in accordance with schedules, specifications and budgets. Worked closely with architects, engineers and contractors to ensure cohesive efforts; acted as a main point of contact for all facets of projects. Took charge of analysis and finalization of project drawings, schematics and specifications; permitting, site inspections, warranty repairs and closeouts. Oversaw asbestos and hazardous material abatement, energy management and facilities preventive maintenance programs. Managed RFIs, submittals, change orders and budgets. Ensured compliance with all city, state and federal regulations.

SELECTED PROJECTS:

•Led $100MM built-from-the-ground up new construction of Byron Nelson High School – Successfully met cost reduction objectives and was able to include a Culinary Arts addition to the scope. Spearheaded the installation of the first geothermal HVAC system in the school district in support of a new energy management initiative.

•Orchestrated $20MM stadium and field house construction – Prepared project documents and submittals; coordinated project meetings, prioritized schedules, and ensured budget compliance. Overcame various schedule delays due to architectural and civil design issues, and still brought the project in on time and under budget.

•Managed new construction of seven elementary schools in a five-year period within approximately $100MM budget – Led all planning, scheduling, contract negotiations and budgeting. Collaborated with architects and engineers in maximizing cost savings through the implementation of new technologies and building practices. Achieved on-time and under-budget completion of all projects.

•Planned, organized and directed the implementation of an Energy Management program into the construction process – Worked with architects and engineers in the analysis and evaluation of initial program costs and future energy cost savings; successfully justified investment, and integrated the program throughout new construction and renovation projects in the district.

•Expedited the installation of a new $2.5MM HVAC system within a tight deadline of three months – Communicated with engineers and contractors on project planning, change orders, budgets and quality control; coordinated material deliveries and staging. Met all project deadlines and budget constraints.

WILLIAM SCOTSMAN Houston, TX 2003 – 2004

Construction Manager

Supervised the installation of portable classrooms for the Houston ISD; worked with city officials, clients, safety and compliance officers to ensure high standards and efficiency of the building operations, expedited permitting process, drove project planning and scheduling of construction team.

Project Engineer

Supported the Project Manager for the construction of a new terminal at the DFW International Airport. Scheduled subcontractors and material deliveries, reviewed plans and specifications, and assisted field project teams in meeting all project and budget requirements.

•Coordinated the installation of Siemens Dematic Airport Systems, a $55MM Baggage Handling System.

AUSTIN COMMERCIAL Ignacio, CO 2001 – 2002

Project Engineer

Managed project closeout for a new $40MM elementary school and community center project in Ignacio, Colorado; handled all warranty issues, closeout documentation, contractor meetings, RFIs and submittals. Conducted daily inspections on closeout progress and documentation; reviewed and processed final contract payments.

AUSTIN COMMERCIAL Rio Rancho, NM 2000 – 2001

Project Engineer / Purchasing Agent

Took charge of all change orders to the base contract for the Intel Central Utility building expansion and site renovations project; prepared documentation of costs and engineering reports for change orders to the contract, worked with engineers and trades to develop the scope and cost of the construction change orders.

Oversaw purchasing and procurement of all construction materials, tools and equipment for the construction of the Intel fabrication plant facility in New Mexico.
