VICE PRESIDENT & MANAGER (January 2011 to PRESENT)
Responsible for the development and coordination of all communications, public relations and marketing products, and services. Counseled upper-management, directors, and staff on corporate communications, marketing, and sales strategies. Analyzed public opinion using technical measurements of corporate products and services to ensure desired results.
Execute strategic presentations, product launches, and press conferences with industry leaders in of various industries, including; hospitality, entertainment, health, and government to ensure favorable branding, positioning, public opinion, and employee satisfaction.
Collaborated in the transformation & rebranding of Empresas Santana (ES), one of the island's largest business conglomerates; transformed the company from a major airline supplier and airport maintenance company to a hospitality conglomerate and owners of some of the island’s largest hotel chains, among them: Four Points by Sheraton, Tryp by Wyndham and Wyndham Garden. The strategic conversion and rebranding of Empresas Santana, from a PR perspective, represented a strategic re-launch aimed at guaranteeing immediate successful market positioning.
Drafted and implemented a strategy on the restructure of Puerto Rico’s Corporation for the Supervision, Regulation and Insurance of Cooperatives and Credit Unions (COSSEC by its Spanish acronym), enabling the public corporation to make multiple record-breaking announcements over a five year period, including: 1 million members, $9 billion in active assets, $4.6 billion in loans, 5.8 in deposits and 2.5 billion in shares, reaffirming this sector as a strong economic pillar; placing the cooperatives and credit unions as the fastest growing financial segment in the island.
Designed the strategic branding campaign for Puerto Rico’s Minority Supplier Development Council (PRMSDC), increasing the core membership from 250 certified minority suppliers to over 500. This resulted in over $50M new contracts between multinational corporations and local minority businesses.
For four years in a row, designed the promotion, public relations, and branding campaign for INTERPHEX Puerto Rico Life Science Innovation Week; one of the island’s best known corporate regional events for the development of life sciences, biopharma, and supply chain management. This effort guaranteed over 3k participants and an increase of 30% in attendance every year.
Coordinated a large variety of product launches, presentations, and press conferences for over three dozen clients, to ensure favorable branding and public opinion, as well as employee satisfaction.
Planned, designed, and executed special community outreach programs for the Puerto Rico Health Insurance Administration (ASES by its Spanish Acronym); these programs are designed to monitor the healthcare of close to a million beneficiaries in the island.
