Professional Experience:-

A) Position held in the company as a Assistant Manager - HR. At present i am working as a Deputy Manager - HR in General Engineering Works, Trichirappalli Limited, from January,2008 to till date. General Engineering Works, Trichy is one of the Ancillary Unit for Trichy BHEL. They have two units at Trichy & Mathur with a turnouver of Rs.100 Crores Per Annum. They are doing all Fabrication Works for Boilers etc., to BHEL.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Human Resources

Statutory Register Maintenance Under Factories Act (muster Roll Register, Leave Register, Workmen Register, Adult Register, Accident Register, Health Register, Equal Remuneration Register, Register of Wages, fine & Unpaid Register, Etc.) - Half Yearly & Annual Returns Under the Factories Act. - Employees Welfare Activities - Uniforms, Shoes, Helmets, Gloves, Etc., - Time Office Functions & Attendance Report Generation. - Employees Database Maintenance & Updation. - ESI - Recovery & Remittance - Online Employee Number Generation & Online Remittance. - Monthly Shift Schedule Updating,. Updation of Permission Slips, Late & On Duty Slips, Shift Change Form, Updating Leave Details, Maintenance of Leave Cards and in Registers. - Preparation of Salary Statement - Daily Late Report Preparing. - Routine Counseling with Employees Regarding Absenteeism. - Mis Report Preparation for Monthly Manpower Planning for Department Wise.

Executive – HR

Key Functions & Responsibilities

Manpower Planning and Recruitment

To ensure manpower planning exercise is in line with the business goals of the company

Responsible for developing a cost effective manpower planning chart ensuring optimization of resources for all functions

To conceptualize, create and ensure implementation of recruitment strategy, to launch new initiatives to help in easy and cost effective sourcing; to analyze competitors & their activities

To manage manpower cost vis a vis profitability of the company, ensure most competitive resources are attracted in the budgeted cost

•Coordinates, advertisement recruitment and interview schedules

•Conducts interviews up to Senior Executive levels. Arranges interviews for Management levels. Prepares Letter of Offer to selected candidates and Letter of Rejection to unsuccessful candidates

•Occasionally sources for free lance designers within short notice and places them Appropriately

•Conducts exit interviews,

•Hiring the trainees from Schools, Polytechnics & ITI.

Training:-

Succession Planning Management

To design and develop succession planning for a seamless transition of the companys leadership from generation to generation

To proactively ensure development of second line leaders and empowerment, transparency in operations

•Conducts orientation program to new employees

•Coordinates and liaises with external Consultants on employees’ training needs and arranges training schedules for employees

•Evaluates the effectiveness of the respective training programs by obtaining feedback from employees

•Motivating the employees on day-to-day basis

•Identifies and addresses training needs of various business functions / projects teams / individuals within the organization

•Prepares a Training Calendar based on the outcome of training needs assessment.

•Designs and Executes/delivers seamless quality training modules

•Creates and implements various processes pertaining to training with adherence to organizational quality standards

•Review and update present Training material. Design new courseware/training material as and when required

•Imparts training on behavioral and soft skill development

•Creates effective processes for monitoring and measuring training processes and incorporate constructive feedback into the same

•Manages Training costs through cost control, capacity utilization, efficient use of resources and continuous improvement

•To be in constant touch with operations to meet the Training deliverables

Welfare:-

•Attends to employees’ grievances and complaints; provides guidance if necessary

•Provides feedback to the management to enhance a better and cordial working environment.

•Organizes corporate events such as company’s dinner, corporate trip, family day etc.,

•Promoting Pro-active IR Climate by organizing Monthly communication meeting, presenting gift to employee’s wedding, birthday greeting, issuing awarding citation letter and rewarding QC Circles team, Suggestion Scheme. Administering of canteen and transport, First Aid Center.

•Monitoring of all welfare activities i.e., Issuing of Protective Preventive Equipments, Safety Trainings, Analysis of Accidents causes, implementing the safety committee corrective measures and testing of all pressure vessels.

•Promote Employee Participation in Suggestion Scheme, QC Circles to enhance Employee Satisfaction by implementing, Rewarding and Awarding citation letter.

HR Administration:-

•Reviews, updates and maintains proper filing of ESI,PF,Insurance policy, performance appraisal form and training schedules

•Assists Accountant in planning and preparing annual headcount report and updating the organization chart

•Ensure adherence to all legislation and corporate governance in human resource domain Reviews compensation and benefits up to junior designer level

Human Resource Management:-

•Involves in yearly manpower planning and expansion

•Handles monthly ESI,& Payroll etc.,

•Takes charge of HR consultancy projects by appointing HR Consultants for Specific HR projects and Coordinates with Department Heads and HR Consultants on respective projects and organising interview for management levels

•Assists in drafting out Annual Letter and Promotion Letter

•Administers the HR procedures

•Manages and appraises subordinates performance and their career advancement
