OTC Services Sourcing Manager, Louisville, Ohio, May 2015 to Present OTC Services is a player in the Electrical Transformer Industry that supplies as an OEM to both the Utilities and Industrial businesses. In this roll, I lead a Purchasing Department in a quest to improve all facets of Purchasing in Price, Quality and Lead-time. I work to find new suppliers to this growing company that fit our criteria and can prove as an asset to the company. I work with our German parent company to update them with my KPI’s and many other projects. Since our parent company is in Europe, I have been working with Transportation companies overseas to find the best prices to ship materials to my facility. I lead a team of two professionals, I work with them daily on PO reports and other queries that could affect our production. I work with suppliers to set contracts and pricing to allow my company to take advantage of the best pricing possible. I also work with our European parent company to finalize any negotiations they have in the works. I create work processes to help the department function in a more efficient manner, and to keep us on top of our production obligations. I work closely with my plant manager on any projects we need to accomplish. Hyundai Ideal Electric Company Purchasing Manager, Mansfield, Ohio, June 2014 to May 2015

Hyundai Ideal is a leader in building large generators and motors for the Energy and Utilities Industries. I was responsible for the purchasing team, and the purchase of raw materials, RTD’s, Electrical Devices, Castings, and many other commodities to build our units. I managed the purchase for all the electrical components to build the switch gear and control units that supported the function of our generators including the wire and harnesses for these complex systems. I am a certified internal auditor for ISO 9002. I was responsible for holding all the ISO documents from our suppliers. I used Visual as an ERP system for MRP and to create orders with my vendors to ensure inventory levels are not depleted. I was responsible for developing new vendors that can support our needs. Since I am so well versed in the electrical component area, I was able to bring in new suppliers to support the hard to find components for our aftermarket rebuilds. I was responsible for finding ways to save the company money on the materials I bought including our consignment program. I met weekly with our CEO to show him my recent cost savings for the company. I used all Microsoft Office programs in this roll.

Rolls-Royce Energy Systems Senior Global Buyer, Mt Vernon, Ohio, September 2007 to June 2014

Rolls Royce was a leader in the Energy Industry providing power equipment for Oil and Gas as well as Power Generation to our customers. My responsibilities included purchasing of various commodities such as electric motors, valves for all applications, pumps, fittings, raw steel, tube, bearings, bearing casings, casted supports, electronic components, flexible hoses, flanges and fasteners. A large portion of my purchasing consisted of buying the electrical components for our controls department. Since many of our applications were to rebuild old equipment for our aftermarket, I had to develop suppliers who could still sell me non-ROHS components until the market was depleted. I also bought the components to build our new control systems that went with our new Power Generation equipment. I purchased the wire and harnesses that brought the whole machine to life. I also traveled a lot to see the products I was buying and to create a good working relationship with my suppliers. I created strategic long term agreements with our vendors to insure trust and lock in pricing for agreed intervals of time. I also worked with our legal department to clean up contract agreements between our suppliers and the company when there were terms that were a conflict of interest. Assisted in invoicing issues when payment blocks occur. Employ ed SAP as a primary ERP system for procurement of goods and was considered a Super User. I also used Ariba for managing development of large projects as a cost management tool. I was involved daily with vendor relations as well as development for new products. Assisted in expediting of goods to support our customers during break down of equipment in the field. Responsible for purchasing items for our aftermarket business which in many cases is the toughest since much of the replacement materials are not readily available depending on the age of the equipment.
