Employment History

Self-employed, CEO of own company; 2003 – Present, Toronto-Ontario, Canada

Project manager, Business consultant, Business analyst, System architect, Developer

I have been working with customer in-house IT teams as well as with my own hired and subcontracted business consultants, project managers and developers. My work have involved anything from saving failed projects, structuring up IT use in companies, developing functions and features according to specific business needs and in relation to ERP functionality and anything in between. The end goal has always been advancing the use of IT to save cost and increase revenue through business consulting and analysis, project management, system design, development to deliver functional solutions to my customers, often cutting individual workloads into a fraction of what they were, and at the same time gaining information feeding important KPI’s and management measurements.

I have consistently provided increased revenue streams and cost cutting and optimized procedures for my customers over the last 15 years, lowering cost and increasing turnover. The customers I serviced have stayed with me in average 7-10 years, some longer some less.

IBS Canada: 2000 – 2002, Toronto-Ontario, Canada

Executive Sales Manager, Business analyst

I managed all ERP sales activities, with focus on the Canadian market and International sales flowing in from IBS HQ central sales, also mentored the technical staff (developers) on standards and methods used to maintain integrity of functions, making them able to successfully develop additional features on standard functions in the ERP. This also made IBS Canada able to properly maintain and support existing installations.

In 2001/2002 I successfully closed the contract on the largest ERP installation (software, hardware, services) for IBS Canada to date, and I handed the project over for implementation.

In both sales and as a mentor, through my efforts, IBS Canada was able to add international customers to their customer base, as the local skill level made it possible to support and maintain such installations.

IBS 1986 – 2000, multiple locations

1986-1991 IBS Gavle Gavle, Sweden

Developer, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Customer Account Manager, System Architect

1992-1996 IBS R&D Stockholm, Sweden

Developer, Business Analyst, Project Manager, System Architect, R&D Group Manager

1997-2000 IBS ISD Mexico City, Mexico & Santa Fe de Bogota, Colombia

International Business Development manager, International Sales Manager, Project Manager,

Business analyst, System Architect

During my career at IBS, spanning 14+ years, I participated in and managed many successful IT Projects and ERP implementations, significantly increasing my customers revenue streams, improving business processes, with labor and processing cost dramatically reduced, optimizing inventory levels, simplifying revenue processing, identifying and analyzing KPI’s, validate and improve disaster recovery plans, executing business analysis on all types of topics leading to an improved bottom line.

My experience ranges from project management through business analysis to specifications to actual solution development, of either generic ERP solutions to bespoke customer specific solutions. Most of the technical work (applications and development of them) I have been involved in, are still in use by 1000’s of users worldwide, and are still sold and implemented today.

At IBS I had the exposure to a lot of different B2B scenarios in various parts of the world, thus giving me the wide ranging experience of ERP sales (with contract and agreement negotiations), ERP fit analysis, Country specifics (like tax regulations and accounting practices), Supply chain processing with Sales Order process restructuring, Inventory level optimization, simplified Payment routines, solutions for Credit card and Debit cards, EDI, i.e. anything to do with Supply Chain and Finance in an IT solution.

I have participated in many projects and sales cases for presumptive customers, local and International. Through my work at IBS, IBS subsidiaries in Poland and Colombia was established, and in Colombia, the team under my leadership added some 20+ installation (throughout South America) to the IBS subsidiary there, but more important, created a firm Customer base with both local well-known companies as well as larger international corporations with operations in the region.

Over the years I negotiated and came to agreement with vendors, customers, employees and resources, i.e. the full spectrum of external and internal relations.

Notes and Reference

In regards to IBS:

IBS, has since been renamed to a new name; Iptor, and is still in business (HQ in Stockholm, Sweden).

The functionality is similar to what is offered by JDE etc.

The ERP is mainly aimed at B2B midsize market (by IBM’s definition); the solution is scalable and versatile to fit many different needs, niches and vertical markets.

In the year of 2000 IBS had some 5000 installations of the ERP worldwide (Europe, North-America, South-America, Asia, and Australia).
