Overview: A highly competent early education professional with significant experience in working with toddlers, pre-K, and Kindergarten students. I am experienced as a business owner, administrator, teacher, performer, and manager of people. As a music educator I have worked with students from ages 5 to 12 teaching choral music and producing musicals. My international experience enables me to work with people of various cultures effectively.

Stowe ISD, Stowe, VT 2009- 2012

The Stowe school district is one of the top districts in the entire state and Vermont’s public schools are always ranked in the top 5 in the country.

Role: Substitute Teacher

Responsibilities: Substitute teacher at Elementary, Middle and High school levels.

Ten Acres Lodge, Stowe, Vermont 2004 – 2012

A Country Inn for over 50 years, Ten Acres is a renowned location for lodging in Stowe.

Role: Co - Owner/General Manager

Responsibilities: Co- Management of entire operation ranging from marketing, wedding planning, food service, reservations and management of 7 employees.

Accomplishments:

Created and co - managed a top 5 restaurant (Trip Advisor ratings) called Lagniappe. In 2 years restaurant had doubled revenues and reached over $300,000 in sales.

American Woman’s Association (AWA), Singapore 2002 – 2004

Organization dedicated to fellowship of women while raising money for local charities.

Role: Director, AWA Choir

Responsibilities: Design and implement all aspects of Choir performances including program content, managing rehearsals, choreography, marketing programs and conducting performances.

Accomplishments:

Raised money for local charities in Singapore with over 10 performances including one for the First Lady of Singapore.

Palisades Day School, Plano TX 1992-1997

Palisades is a private school serving students from 2 years old, to 5th grade.

Role: Pre School /Kindergarten/Music Teacher

Responsibilities: Developed and implemented a personalized curriculum based on Texas standards for pre-schoolers for 2 years, and Kindergarten for 3 years. Organized and conducted Spring and Christmas musicals for 1st – 5th grades. My Kindergarten experience included the teaching of whole language and phonics skills, mathematics instruction using cubes, money, and problem solving, social studies, geography, and science. I also had to document skill progression, social development, and general health of each child.

This school serves Elyria and surrounding areas with day care and pre-k education.

Responsibilities: Implement a general curriculum for toddlers including music, art and movement.

Responsibilities: Developed and implemented curriculum for 1st – 3rd grades. Directed Christmas and spring musicals. Participated in selection of Music textbooks for Texas in the 1989-1990 academic year.
