HUMAN SERVICES
1 years experience working with the homeless veteran population in Penobscot, Hancock, Washington and Waldo counties.
MSW internships with the Maine Wabanaki-State Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Wabanaki Health and Wellness, totaling over 900 hours of service.
Established and nurtured relationships with Elder residents and their families, planned and facilitated recreational activities, and transported and accompanied nursing home residents to appointments.
Assisted with the daily classroom activities of a preschool program run by Catholic Charities. This was a diverse population, with several of our students being new to U.S. culture. In some cases, our students/families had the added challenge of language barriers. Supported classroom and cultural acclimation.
