Work Experience
Frito-Lay Headquarters - 7701 Legacy Dr, Plano, TX 75024-4002 (8 years, 5 months)
Analytics Reporting Test Analyst (Mar 2017 to Dec 2017 = 10 months)
Transitioned to the Analytics and Reporting team. My role was to take over many of the sustainment tasks in order to free up others to concentrate on development. Data was brought into our SQL Server databases via DTSX packages from other data repositories. From our databases we would then apply business rules and aggregate the data at the needed dimensions for each subject matter. The final reporting tables were then pushed out to dedicated reporting servers. Excel VB Models would then display the data by executing dynamic stored procedures.
Performed code and data analysis on SQL Servers using SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)
Modified SQL code inside Job steps of SQL Server Agent Jobs, stored procedures and views
Manually started SQL (Agent) unscheduled Jobs to push data to our reporting servers
Created DTSX packages to load data (ETL process) into our tables from flat files or from other tables
Executed DTSX packages using Microsoft Execute Package Utility, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
Sustainment and Technical Support Analyst (Jan 2015 to Feb 2017 = 2 years, 2 months)
Transitioned to the Sustainment and Support team.
Supported users of our Reporting Tools, which provided critical sales, service, payroll and expense analysis.
Provided support and mentoring to our group of business iOS iPad and iPhone application testers.
Provided Level 2 technical support for production Java Web applications and iOS mobile applications
Used HP Service manager to report, track and resolve production issues
Business User Acceptance Tester (Aug 2009 to Dec 2014 = 5 years, 5 months)
Tested numerous internally developed iOS mobile applications used by field users of iPads and iPhones
Lead Tester on the development and maintenance of Business Object Universes
Created SAP Business Objects queries and SQL queries used to validate data displayed in our applications against our sales data warehouse and other database repositories.
Lead QA resource for testing our flagship Enterprise Java Web application used by our frontline sales team leaders.
Developed Web application automation scripts in Katalon Studio for regression, to ensure existing functionality during maintenance releases
Tested IdM (Identity Manager) for SSO (Single Sign-on) access based on role and approved application access
Used HP Application Lifecycle Management (Quality Center) to write business user acceptance test cases and to report and track defects
Used Sharepoint as a collaboration tool for storing all project documentation
BlueCross BlueShield - 1201 Campbell Road, Richardson, TX 75081
Data Warehouse Testing Analyst (Oct 2006 to Aug 2009 = 2 years, 10 months)
Project Description:
Our project supported the client reporting needs for IL,NM and TX state accounts by pulling data from our Teradata EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) into our own set of tables, creating extracts of that data, and sending the data to 2 vendors. The vendors input the data using their own proprietary process to produce reports for all of our accounts in those states. Also worked on projects that loaded data into the EDW.
Worked closely with solutions definition team to identify missing or incomplete requirements
Wrote SQL scripts based on ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) mapping rules to test target tables
Data Conversion testing was accomplished by transforming the data so that it could be loaded into our EDW data model.
The tables that we (in SQA) populated using our code would be compared to the developer’s table.
Source to target testing was accomplished by comparing each column in every row
Discrepancies in the comparisons between the contents of fields in each table would be researched and resolved
Discrepancies in row counts between each table would be researched and resolved
Used Teradata SQL Assistant to write and execute SQL code
Created Test Cases, Test Scripts and Test Plans
