Summary

Currently I am a Sales Representative at Mercury Overseas Inc, a Japanese trading company. As a sales representative I work closely with clients from the U.S, Canada and Japan to provide the most effective process of operation between the client and supplier while negotiating the price to capitalize on sales. I strive hard to obtain the top price for the company and to meet the monthly goal while maintaining an outstanding record for achieving the best price increasing annual sales. In addition, to ensure that both the client and supplier needs are met I observe the operation first hand at the local plant in California, and frequent the plants located around the U.S and Canada.

Before I accepted this position I worked as a Tour Consultant at Kintetsu International Express. I was hired at Kintetsu when I migrated to the United States in May 2013. At Kintetsu I work closely with colleagues at the headquarters office in Japan to provide exemplary customer service to Japanese clients traveling to the United States on both business and pleasure. Kintetsu is a world known travel agency that focuses on being the client’s personal resource. As a consultant it was my duty to ensure the client’s needs were met. In addition, I was responsible to be well versed in the traveling industry offering various suggestions and information regarding the client’s travel intent.

My background is in business Management. In Japan I worked as a Manager at what is known to be in Asia, a cram school. A cram school is a school students attend after regular school. Kan Juku is a famous franchise in Japan. Prior to becoming a manager I worked as a teacher part time while I was a University student. It was then I developed trust with the Branch Owner to eventually manage one of the branches on my own.

Students choose to attend cram school to improve and excel in subjects. As a manager I advised and directed both parents and students to improve skills, meet school requirements and achieve goals. In addition, I managed a team of fifteen teachers and was in charge of all school operations. I had a private cellular phone to be reached at all times before and after work hours. I assisted parents with making school decisions for their child’s future. When an employee was not able to be present at work I made special arrangements to assure the student/s would have a teacher for class. I worked closely with the Branch Owner to maintain sales and implement a “customer service first” environment.
