Obtained CFRC RWP/E-Rail Safe and FDOT Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic certifications.

Visually inspected track and prescribed remedial action for areas not in compliance with FRA safety and Amtrak maintenance standards. TRACK SUPERVISOR, WASHINGTON METROPOLITAN AREA TRANSIT AUTHORITY (WMATA) January 2005 – November 2008

Supervised personnel in the maintenance and construction of the railroad. Managed operations on numerous railroad projects including rail, cross tie and fastener renewal, switch/turnout replacement and high voltage/third rail maintenance.

Studied site plans and construction drawings so to effectively collaborate with all involved departments within WMATA and other outside contractors.

Developed, drafted, and presented site-specific work plans and scheduled personnel for capital funded projects. Established time lines for work progressions along with safety and contingency plans. Submitted request for track usage and procured equipment and materials.

TRACK EQUIPMENT OPERATOR AND TRACK INSPECTOR - WMATA April 2000 – January 2005 Provided visual inspections of the railroad and reported areas out of compliance with Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority standards. Operated a broad range of track maintenance equipment and tools such as rail saw, rail drill, spike puller, boom crane, speed swing, tie inserter, tie handler, track gauge, chainsaw, core drill, hydraulic jacks, oxygen/acetylene torch, and rail jack for the performance of track maintenance and construction duties.
