●Cost Modeling - Define Cost Structure for purchasing Item thru identifying cost elements such as Material cost, Process (Labor) cost, Manufacturing overhead cost, Selling / General / Administration cost, and Profit. We use our predefined commodity group such as Injection, Press, Electronics, Circuit, and Machinery items. Each commodity has its own base cost structure. My responsibility was validating cost structure using supplier’s financial information and market research. I save 1 ~ 3% of purchasing cost annually.
●BCC (Best Cost Country) Sourcing – Identify the Best Cost Source for our items. We have considered not just purchasing cost but total cost such as logistics cost, potential cost related to risk management, inventory cost, and etc. I save about 2% of purchasing cost annually.
