Dear Human Resource Management:
I am submitting my qualifications for your consideration for the position of Administrative Support. I have been retired for four years, and I would like to return to the workforce. I have 30 years experience in everyday activities in a busy office situation. Within that environment, I have maintained and coordinate the calendars appointments and events for 30 years while holding the position of Technical Director at the Environmental Exposure Facility, Intern Medicine. I have also supervised students and other researchers from a variety of division throughout the University and assisted in obtaining quotes and vendor clearance in purchasing equipment and supplies. During my employment I have made visiting arrangements for visiting scholars and conferences that includes passport difficulty, shipping of equipment;national and international, booking travel, arranging for meeting space. I have acted as the first contact and liaison with public and private agencies, individuals and units by reviewing inquiries, providing appropriate information about the department. Then providing information to individuals or laboratories. I am able to use my administrative duties from my position in Internal Medicine, with the flexibility to apply that experience to different situations.
I have experience with diverse tasks in administration, with minimal supervision, when working with different areas of research from different divisions. Unusual situations on some days is the norm. Solve the situation with correct information or ask questions, and learn from the problem.I am very good at thinking and applying post situations to solve problems. Also, I am not afraid of asking questions. Being recognized as a resource to others will be accomplished by utilizing my years of experience about how to provide information to the appropriate personnel and completing my duties with effective and efficiency. I am accustomed to helping people with computers and navigating working procedures. This would include troubleshooting, applying knowledge and skill across multiple projects. There were many times that I was needed to be flexible and prioritization of duties.
I have a Bachelor's degree Hospital Administration with 20 years experience in departmental operating procedures and a Master's degree from George Washington University in the division of law, Paralegal studies, I have excellent oral and written communications skills, with the ability to correctly disseminate, receive, and interpret ideas, communication and information. I have shown my skills in writing by winning the 2009 Law essay contest. I am very comfortable with computer software applications such as Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Skype, and Adobe Acrobat Pro's, commonly in assisting other researchers. In review of my experience and qualification:
