To whom it may concern:
I write to apply for your internship position. I believe I am an excellent candidate for this position, as I have completed my Bachelor’s degree in Political Science/ International Relations and I have experience in campaigns in local races with the Democratic party during my Academic year of 2017 and the academic year of 2018. I was an intern at the Coles County Democratic Office in Illinois with Mr. Paul Weick who supervised and guided me in doing some Vote Building in the infamous VoteBuilder website for the running candidates in the region. We in the office helped to organize local events in the community. In addition, we canvassed door to door to introduce the locals with the prospective candidates and even register them for voting. Back in Saudi Arabia prior my academic life, I worked in a construction company called Dar Control Corp that maintained and built large scale projects for the Saudi Government. From the year of 2005 till the year of 2008, and the year of 2011. I worked as a Governmental Liaison for the company before the Saudi adoption of the e-government system. I helped to facilitate communications with other Chinese company that worked in conjunction with Dar Control. Dar Control has developed highways and railroads for the Saudi Kingdom. Currently, the corporation is in control of maintaining one of the biggest Desalination plants in the world which is in Jeddah.
Finally, I wish to reiterate that educational career has prepared me well for this position. I have taken courses on Budgeting, as well as Independent studies researches with Professor Ryan Burge that focused around Middle Eastern Politics and policy shaping. Granted, I do not have multiple years of traditional political and research experience in the States; However, my education, references, time spent studying abroad in the States as a Saudi arabian citizen, and my appreciation of Middle Eastern Studies all combine to make me think I would be a good fit for the position.
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
