Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations, Technical Engineering Services and Facilities
Served in several management roles during plant closure. Increased plant efficiency and reduced scrap during implementation of 5S, continuous improvement, and Kaizen events.
•Reduced plant closure costs by over $1M by negotiating the sale of all plant equipment and assets to garner an increase in the bottom line. Maintain an aggressive schedule that allowed the early transfer of the facility to the landlord.
•Minimized impact on dental patients by reducing the repair time from 1 week to a 48-hour turnaround. Achieved through envisioning and implementing a new program of 1-day receipt, repair, and shipping of repaired equipment. Successfully adhered to metrics to exceed prior efficiencies. Managed operation of 2 blending and packaging plants that employed 120 fulltime personnel and up to 50 temporary personnel. Worked directly with high profile accounts that included Ace Hardware, Peak Antifreeze, True Value and many others.
Established top supplier ranking for Ace Hardware, increasing levels of antifreeze production that had not been achieved for previous 3 – 4 years.
•Generated between $3M and $4M of sales per month by efficiently managing day-to-day operations, including operation of 260K-sf warehouse and maintained inventory of raw material, packaging materials and finished goods worth between $9.5M and $11M at any 1 time.
•Reported directly to the CEO on all operational and budgetary matters.
•Primary member of the due diligence team during the purchase process of both Olympic Oil and Rocky Mountain Petroleum.
