Provided individualized rehabilitative treatment to both residents with dementia strokes, TBI and their caregivers to support restoration/management of communicative efficiency, swallowing and cognition. Performed evaluations, re-assessments, and individualized treatments (communication & swallowing) to patients with a variety of medically complex diagnoses in the NICU and acute care pediatrics. Caregiver education and co-treatment with other rehabilitation professionals practiced. Provision of treatment to adults with neurological disorders/deficits in acute care also practiced. Documented evaluations and treatments using a computerized system (Cerner) as well as developed an appropriate plan of care. All under the supervision of a licensed and certified speech language pathologist.
