Area Duties – In charge of Central PA & Greater Harrisburg Secretarial Staff, assisting Area Manager with projects, go to person for information regarding payroll, benefits, program info. Keep track of Directors calendar. Organize and scheduled meeting for the entire area through Outlook. Attend meeting for North Eastern Business Unit, hold meetings with secretaries quarterly to discuss concerns, compiling weekly/monthly reports for the regional office, making graphic designs (flyers, etc.) for area. I recently in 2013 came up with the administrative tools for the Northeast Region to ensure standardized training of the clerical staff. Complete commercial insurance reports weekly for the area. Ensure good customer service with vendors, doctors, and any other companies that the area deals with regularly. I am very well versed in Department of Health Surveys. I am also a big part of the opening of new dialysis clinics in our area, assuring that proper postings, manuals, contracts with nursing homes, hospitals and transplant centers are in place prior to the state coming in for certification. Keeping logs of all extra treatments and hemoglobin’s for new and transient patients, ordering/receiving/putting away/counting medications, distribution of mail, faxing patient records to transient facilities and hospitals, printing HD progress notes monthly for PA’s and Dietitian, filing, ordering office/break room supplies, checking clinic email, faxing monthly labs to primary care physicians/nursing homes, pharmacy inventory reports, checking treatments sheets for errors, making address labels.
Social Work Asst. Duties – New/Transient patient admissions and discharges, prepare all documents for new admissions, enter all info needed on new/transient patients into proton, enter patient surveys into proton, get copies of all insurance cards on new patients, gather and fax all documents on outgoing transient patients, set up all outgoing transient treatments, fill out 2728/2746 forms on new/deceased patients, make copies of all new admission paperwork and fax to document imaging, Make sure patients that absent for a 30 day period are discharged and readmitted on return, assist with patient celebrations, help with transportation issues, monthly change of status reports, print and enter quality of life surveys, order materials as needed such as patient handbags/handbooks, assist with internet research, make sure certain forms are on patient charts, assist Social Worker with projects as needed, attend meetings with Social Worker when needed.
