Conical Perforated Inserts.

. Description: The experiments was carried out on heat exchanger tube

with different configurations of perforated conical inserts. The main

objective of the project is to increase the heat transfer coefficient

and at the same time keeping a check on the friction factor (which is

a loss), so that it not increase much, ergo maintaining a balance

between both these parameters. The future prospects of this project is

that it will increase the efficiency of heat exchanger and provide

more compactness in heat exchanger design which is used by various

automobile and manufacturing industries.
