Resume:

July *, ****

T* whom it may concern,

As a wastewater professional for many years, I have worked at all most every type of treatment process there is in the field of water pollution control. Over the years I have taken the initiative to work very closely with the D.E.P. on several different projects.

I currently hold a Grade 4 Waste Water Treatment License through the State of Maine for eighteen years. I also hold a Grade 5 Waste Water License through the State of Massachusetts for twenty-four years. I have a professional Class A Driving License.

As the attached resume illustrates, I have shown that I have taken on the responsibilities of leadership and all the challenges that go with the position of Superintendent. I have recently completed a project in Hartland, which dealt with working with Maine Rural Water concerning Sewer User Rates. Before this, the Town was taking money from general taxation to pay for the Town’s Wastewater Plant. Now that user fees are in place the Town is eligible to receive much needed grant money for plant upgrades. In Lubec, I worked very closely with Rick Hefner of the D.E.P. and Nate Petle of Washington County Water and Soil to secure the first licensed sludge-spreading site in Lubec. In Hartland, as the Pretreatment Coordinator I was very instrumental in getting the Tannery to remove the Buffing Dust from their waste stream. Working with the Superintendent at K.S.T.D I was able to get two free V.F.D. drives for the two hundred horsepower blower motors.

I look forward to the prospect of working with the and am able to continue my work as a Wastewater Plant Superintendent.

Sincerely,

Mark A. Descoteaux
