I am a lab manager at Georgia Plating Technology.
I started as a Chemical Analyst 2 years ago.
I also while run a wastewater system.
I run analysis on plating tanks and adjust the chemicals in the tank according to the results to keep my analysis results in parameter.
I also keep my equipment such as my AA Spectroscopy machine, my XRF Machine, my wastewater pH probes, my pH meters, and my electronic chemical feeders calibrated.
While doing my job as an analyst I worked my way up to Lab Manager where I took on more responsibility, such as, creating charts and graph, maintaining some maintenance, making sure all of my chemicals are ordered and inventoried.
Also I conducted audits as necessary and anytime we have problems with our tanks I run experiments to figure out the problem and do troubleshooting until I solve the problem at hand.
I run analysis on raw materials as well as finished products checking for biologicals and contaminates on our products so that I know exactly what chemicals I can use to eliminate the biologicals properly.
I run experiments on our finished products when we have problems such as black spots, rust, or any other problem caused by possible contamination or other biological causes. I run analysis to check for biological causes using our AA Spectroscopy or a Wet Analysis.
I use also my observational skills I have been trained to use for many years to ensure the quality of all products we manufacture.

I was a welder. I would mig and tig weld on exhaust systems for the KIA automotive industry. Also while looking for quality issues such as cracks in the welds, incomplete welds, bubbles, and etc. I would inspect the parts from front to back looking for any inconsistencies.
