August 2015 – Present President Olson Building, LLC Re-established and operated custom home building company. Responsible for all aspects of company including compliance, marketing and construction. Projects include second homes for several previous clients as well as developing new relationships with industry leading Architects. January 2014 – August 2015 Business Developer Outside the Lines, Inc. Recruited as Business Developer responsible for introducing company to Zoo and Aquarium clients in an effort to grow revenues in these markets. Accomplished “launch” of existing business to Exhibit Architects and over 120 AZA- accredited zoos and aquariums, exceeding established goals for opportunities identified and revenue growth. April 2012 – January 2014 Sr. Project Manager Chestnut Construction Company Recruited as Senior Project Manager responsible for project procurement, estimating and execution. Developed new client base and maintained existing client list. Responsible for all budgeting, estimating, contract negotiation and project execution. Successfully brought new clients into the company including large defense contractor with substantial ongoing construction program.

November 1997 – November 2011 President, CEO Cemrock Landscapes, Inc Developed business plan and raised capital to purchase and grow existing business building exhibits in zoos. Created and initiated policies and procedures to remake “Ma and Pa” operation into a leading provider in the national zoo and aquarium exhibit construction industry. Grew revenues 10 fold in 7 years while generating significant profits for stakeholders. Grew workforce from 6 to over 120 employees in 8 years. Added extensively to company’s abilities in fabrication and manufacturing, opening new markets in the broad application of the company’s core skills. Created extensive line of coral molds to compete in aquarium markets. Built extensive client base including renowned institutions like The San Diego Zoo, Smithsonian Institute, Pebble Beach Golf Links and more than 100 zoos and aquariums around the country. Negotiated and executed more than 1000 contracts, including projects in Canada, Ireland, Mexico and South Korea.

March 1992 – November 1997 President Olson-Hannah Building Company, Inc. Established and operated general contracting business building primarily high-end custom homes. Grew revenues to more than $3MM annually in 4 years. Projects included all types of residential construction from Design-Build to Cost Plus Fee type contracts and ranged from $300,000 to $3,000,000. Company completed 23 projects before closing in 1999 in order to purchase Cemrock.

March 1985-March 1992 Project Manager T. L. Roof and Associates, Inc. Served as Project Superintendent and Project Manager for mid-market Commercial General Contractor building schools, banks, retail facilities and zoological exhibits. Was promoted to Project Manager within 2 years with “bottom line” responsibility for projects ranging from approximately $1MM to $30MM. Received extensive training and experience in all aspects of general contracting.
