EXPERIENCE

Capstone Project, BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit ) January 2018 – May 2018 Communication Officer

• Designed a system that can measure elongation on escalator chains via tensioner rod

• Used AutoCAD to mimic an escalator chain in which I build a setup that consisted of putting together sprockets, gears, and motors for the apparatus to function

• Used AutoCAD parametric to design mounts that can measure elongation the most efficient and non-invasive ways.

• Solved clients need of an automated system to provide elongation data by implementing a linear position sensor to 180 escalators for BART

Research with Professor James Palko, University of California, Merced September 2017 – May 2018 Undergraduate Researcher

• Designed a thermal cooling design to dissipate heat throughout a battery.

• Used SolidWorks/AutoCAD to make 3D micro channel to analyze ways to disburse heat.7 AIAA-Weather Balloon September 2016 – January 2018 Designer/Manufacturer

• Manufacture a hot weather balloon capable to sustain different types of forces using FEA analysis to determine it

• This project consisted of using SolidWorks to create a prototype

• Used Simulink to determine tensile and shear strength Bridge Project March 2016 – May 2016

Designer

• Modeling a truss bridge in CAD using AutoCAD software to mimic real world forces that would cause failure and help knowing the break points

Clubs & Organizations

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA)-Member May 2017 – May 2018

• Learning experience regarding building and testing of Aeronautics systems

• Manufacturing and assembling weather balloon technology. Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)-Member September 2014 – May 2018
