Fault finding, maintenance and repair of machinery featuring motors and drives. DC spindle motor drives with tacho feed back and programmed speed set points. DC motor drives with armature voltage feed back and potentiometer speed set points. DC servo motor control with tacho and encoder feed back. Large DC compound wound motor control through contactor supplied resistor banks and inverter contactors. Wiring and testing steam and hot water boilers : Installation of wiring,fed through flexible conduits clipped to the boiler sheets, routed from boiler apparatus to control panels and loomed and connected to terminals and panel components. Wiring water level control and feed pumps, burner junction box, auto blow down, water conductivity control for gestra water level probes. Burners wired according to fuel used. Control panel building and wiring involved : componant assembly, point to point wiring, crimping, terminating, soldering,looming. Fitting to enclosure. Dry run, simulation test involved : isolation of vunerable equipment,link out safety interlocks to allow sequence timer to cycle to start, run through stages to boiler light up and simulate burner flame to achieve normal firing, switch feed pump to auto and check function through water level system, check low and extra low water level alarms to burner shut down and boiler lockout, check modulation from low to high fire and flame failure to lockout.
